Who is Sensory Support 4 Medicines?

This website was created by a research team based at the University of Strathclyde and funded by the Vivensa Foundation, a charity organisation involved with funding the remarkable science and radical social change needed to help everyone to age well. The research team also included researchers and health professionals from the University of Edinburgh and the University of Bristol.

Are we paid or sponsored by any of the products you advertise?

No, we are entirely independent. This is an unbiased and impartial resource designed to raise awareness about the products available that can help people with visual and/or hearing impairment/loss with their medication.

How do we decide what products are shown on the website?

We used a range of methods to identify products that can be helpful to people with visual and/or hearing impairment manage their medication. These methods included online searches, as well as speaking to people with visual and/or hearing impairment/loss, relevant charities and health and social care professional’s website e.g. pharmacists, nurses.
